Samples - Page 4 click on the images for a larger view         Before: I purchased this 1800’s fishing book with a leather cover in need of repair so I would have a sample to show customers. After: This repair includes a sewn on headband, green Moroccan leather for the new spine, a colored paper hinge inside to save the original end sheets, a deluxe beveled edge and rounded top and bottom. A slip case was made to protect the book.         Before: We recommended a new binding for this book on President Lincoln’s assassination and funeral.  Our client chose to keep the original boards.  The original spine was missing and the boards were in poor condition. After: New spine made from archival paper was colored to match the original leather.  New gold stamping to finish this leather re-backing repair.
